Class
Format and Requirements
There
will be both a live audio and visual component to the
class. You will
need to be able to make a regular long-distance phone call
to the conference call service (at no additional charge
beyond your normal long distance charges), and you will need
a live internet
connection on your computer at the same time.
We
will be on a conference call together so that we can
speak, although I will be presenting
most of the time. You will of course be able to
ask questions.
Visually,
you will be able to see the things I will be doing
on my computer,
so that I can illustrate important points
in the moment with charts and astro-locality maps. This
visual format will be very, very easy for you to use
and access, even if
you don't
know your way around a computer! I will just
send you a website address and all you have
to do
is
go to
it at the right time. You just need to have
Flash installed on your computer, which most computers
have already.
That's all.
You are not required to own astrological software,
but you will get more out of the class if you have your
own
chart-generating software as well as a specific program
for locational astrology. Because of the visual nature
of the class, though, having your own software is not
essential. I sell the software programs called "Solar
Fire" and
Solar Maps" produced
by Esoteric Technologies, and highly recommend them.
Solar Fire is
a very powerful program that does an incredible number
of calculations and sells for $289 US plus shipping.

Class Topics and Goals
This is a beginning-level class on locational astrology for
those who already have at least an intermediate level of
knowledge of natal astrology (western or vedic
astrology). If there is interest in a further class, then
we will likely follow up with another 6-week class. Those
interested in more advanced classes will need to take this
class first as a pre-requisite.
I bring to this subject not only the experience
of conducting thousands of professional astrological consultations,
but
also the experience of confirming the results of many thousands
of locations where people have lived in addition to being
a truly full-time locational astrologer with a thriving
practice in this area.
We will talk about the fundamentals of Astrocartography
and relocated charts through some interesting and somewhat
unique techniques and research that I use in my work, as
well as special techniques including
parans,
local space,
and
geodetics. I should emphasize that this class will teach
you some very important things that you will not find elsewhere
because of my own systematic method.
It
is my opinion that many of the techniques being widely
used today for locational astrology are flawed in some
respects, or
at least
not properly understood. While I am always still learning
and always humbled at how much there is to learn in astrology
even after being a professional astrologer for the last
13-14 years, I have also discovered some important keys
to doing
this
work
that
are quite useful
and valuable, and I look forward to sharing them with you.
